How many people does Island View sleep?
Up to 14 guests. There are four bedrooms with king and queen beds, including a main-floor suite with two kings, plus two twin beds in the top-floor loft. Three bedrooms have their own bathroom, and the top-floor bedroom shares one with the loft.
Is Island View right on the water?
Yes. The house sits on Island Lake with a private dock, kayaks, paddleboards and a lakeside fire pit, and state land trails start just outside the door.
Is there a boat?
Yes, a pontoon is available from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
How far is it from Traverse City?
About 20 minutes to downtown Traverse City. Crystal Mountain and Boyne Mountain are each about an hour away for skiing.
Is it good for families and groups?
Yes. There is a game room with a pool table, ping-pong, arcade games and a 75-inch TV, a hot tub, and plenty of room to spread out.
Does Island View have air conditioning?
Two mini-split units cool the main living areas. Two of the bedrooms are not connected to those areas and have ceiling fans instead.
Are pets allowed?
No pets at Island View.
