The house sits on a rare low bluff with more than 200 feet of private Lake Michigan beach. Plummerville Creek, a spring-fed trout stream, runs along the north side. Inside, a spiral staircase climbs five stories to the crow's nest, where the whole shoreline opens up. Downstairs, a glass rotunda wraps the fireplace. Outside, the in-ground spa and a row of loungers face the water.

Questions about Lighthouse Bluff

How many people does Lighthouse Bluff sleep?

Up to 20 guests in five bedrooms, with three bathrooms. It is our largest home and works well for family reunions, multi-family trips and milestone weekends.

Is the Lake Michigan beach private?

Yes. The house sits on a low bluff above more than 200 feet of private Lake Michigan beach, with Plummerville Creek, a spring-fed trout stream, along the north side of the property.

Does Lighthouse Bluff have a hot tub and sauna?

Yes. There is an in-ground spa that fits up to 14 people and a cedar Finnish-style sauna, both a few steps from the beach.

What is there to do inside?

An arcade room, a movie room, a two-sided fireplace in the glass solarium, and a spiral staircase that climbs five stories to the crow’s nest. Kayaks and beach gear are there for the water.

How far is it from Saugatuck and Douglas?

A few minutes’ drive. Lighthouse Bluff is in Fennville, close to the galleries, shops, restaurants and wineries of Saugatuck and Douglas.

Can we host a wedding or event here?

Yes. Lighthouse Bluff hosts intimate weddings for up to 30 guests, with 20 staying overnight, as well as reunions and celebrations. Wedding packages start at $30,000.

Are pets allowed?

No pets at Lighthouse Bluff. Lake Effect Cabin, Riverbend Ranch and Asunaro A-frame welcome dogs.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Good to know

Check-in 4 pm, check-out 10 am. Sleeps up to 20. Minutes from the galleries, shops and restaurants of Saugatuck and Douglas.

House rules, in short: no smoking or vaping, no pets, no shoes inside. Quiet hours after 10 pm. No glass in or around the hot tub, and up to 14 in it at a time. Park in the driveway in front of the house, and lock the doors and windows whenever you head out. The full list comes with your booking.
